NEW FOR MARCH 2012
Themed Radio Workshops

New for this term, we've teamed up with some experts in their
fields to bring you a
Religious Education Radio Workshop with Sharon Artley, a
MFL Radio Workshop with Joe Dale and an
E-Safety and Digital Literacy Radio Workshop with Simon Finch.
These are whole day live radio workshops with specific curriculum themes running
right through them. We provide everything included consultancy before we
arrive to ensure that we meet all of your learning objectives on the day.
This is a fixed price workshop for up to 40 pupils or students at both primary
and secondary level, larger groups can be arranged. These well known
experts will work with Russell to bring you a live radio broadcast towards the
end of your school day. Anyone can listen into the show, typically schools
will send invitations to parents and supporters of the school or establishment
so that they can tune into the Internet Radio Station at the allotted time.
The broadcasts are available live on the world-wide Anderton Tiger Radio
Channel, so twinned schools or World Class Schools can listen in too. A
podcast of the show is given to the school at the end of the activity.

We consistently score top 5 Star marks with all of our products, there are also some great independent reviews of our School Radio
products on the

This is what our customers are saying about us "The children quickly acquired (within an
hour) the basic skills necessary to produce a live broadcast using jingles."
"The Broadcaster Desktop is one of the best things our school has purchased."

there's a great discussion in progress on protecting your Professional Identity.
Wired Teachers Radio often broadcasts and covers leading events.
Published by Continuum Books "Mathematics Education with Digital Technology" edited by Adrian Oldknow & Carol Knights, Russell has written Chapter 12 "Home & School - Bridging the Gap" The title draws on the expertise of a wide range of contributors from across the globe. It is thought provoking and challenging and covers a diverse range of ICT. It is hoped that this publication can move the agenda forward and bring ICT to all our students. ISBN 978-1-4411-8472-6 published by www.Continuumbooks.com 2011 Other contributors include Don Passey, Andy Kemp, Vanessa Pittard and David Wright, the book is highly recommended but it isn't for the faint hearted.
Our whole-school INSET starts with an Inspection Visit
We have found that for any INSET to be relevant and meaningful, it has to start with a prior familiarisation visit. During this visit Russell will see for himself how your staff and colleagues are using ICT. If you are responsible for INSET or other elements of staff training, you will know that motivation and self esteem are essential ingredients for success in the classroom or any learning space. Russell will prepare a training session either in the form of a keynote or small group seminar workshop with evidence collected from his previous visit. This will ensure that all points are relevant and correctly match your expectations. Russell will also reflect and capture key developing trends in learner centric technology and demonstrate how learning and teaching colleagues could embrace some of these. Russell regularly motivates and inspires colleagues using the latest technology and is used to showing colleagues how they can use this sort of thing in their teaching to improve engagement and learning outcomes.
Strategic Blue-Sky Thinking
Perfect for those looking to work on a strategic development programme,
enhance their curriculum delivery or who are considering a major refurbishment
project. Russell has helped Bob Wallbridge, Chief Architect at Hampshire
County Council plan and develop some new Hampshire Schools. Russell's
refreshing look at technology has been instrumental in securing the success of
several schools. We have also supported the National College of School
Leadership with their BSF & PCP programmes with innovative ideas about how to
get greater value from your learning and teaching investments.
The Whole
Staff Training Package
This package is perfect if you are considering having Russell speak at your
training event for
the whole day. Russell's opening keynotes are always very popular, he
usually spends this time scoping out the landscape and showing what young people
are getting up to with technology away from our classrooms. Then armed
with the knowledge and evidence of how your establishment is using technology he
can then focus in on the potential development opportunities. If you are
taking follow-up workshops from Russell on the same day he will often recommend
including a Live Radio Workshop for Educator and some games based learning
activities. This is a fantastic way of demonstrating the key
and essential skills of collaboration, teambuilding and creative problem solving
and not to mention having some fun at the same time.
